This is the start of next year’s crop. After a dry spell we had a good 25mm of rain 2 days in a row. Plenty of rain to initiate the flowering. We’re now desperately waiting for more rain to help the coffee cherries develop.
Wirui Estate is undergoing some much needed pruning of old trees and our aim is to bring the trees back into similar sizes and production. We plan to return to hand picking for next year’s crop.
